CORFU. The ship is partially constructed from rubble from the Twin Towers.

US Navy warship in Corfu Port constructed from steel salvaged from the Twin Towers in New York
Inside the USS New York (Photos: Vassilis Doukakis)CORFU. Steel salvaged from the World Trade Center after its destruction on September 11, 2001 was used in the construction of the ship΄s bow. This is why it was christened New York (2008) and was built to take part in "the war against terrorism".
